Ashton Anderson

Ashton leads event coordination, including our Celebration of Philanthropy and Colorado Gives Day. She holds a degree in Human Resources and Organization & Innovation Management from CSU. After completing her two-year-long internship at the Foundation in May 2018, Ashton travelled to Indonesia to consult a business startup that provides meaningful employment to at-risk women and victims of trafficking.

Wendy Banks

Wendy ensures that accounting and investment activities are carried out according to policies, procedures, and objectives set by the Board of Trustees.  She oversees projections and forecasting in order to secure the organization’s long-term financial health. Wendy also directs the Foundation’s human resources. She has 15 years’ experience of contract CFO services to regional nonprofit organizations and businesses. 

Mishelle Baun
Content and Media Coordinator

Mishelle oversees content for the Foundation’s publications. She has an extensive background in communications — specializing in media and public relations — and studied journalism and marketing at CSU.  A fourth-generation Coloradan, she has served many nonprofits, including ChildSafe, Habitat for Humanity, and Bas Bleu Theatre. She studied in Norway and loves to travel with her husband Bob.


Ray Caraway, JD*

Ray carries out policies established by the Board of Trustees and strives to accomplish its strategic objectives. He works with donors interested in establishing new funds, specializing in helping with complex gift arrangements. A former practicing attorney, Ray served as the CEO of two other foundations before coming to the Foundation in 2003. Ray and his wife, Mary, live in the foothills west of Fort Collins.

John provides Foundation leadership to the Eastern Colorado Community Fund (ECCF) board and visibility throughout the Eastern Plains. John served for 30 years with the State of Colorado, as a teacher, principal, prison-education director, and warden on the Eastern Plains. John lives in Haxtun and is passionate about the sense of community in Eastern Colorado.


Randy Davis

Randy is responsible for building and maintaining meaningful relationships that enable the Foundation to better serve the Estes Valley. He also interfaces with the Estes Valley Community Fund Committee, which awards grants to nonprofits that benefit the area. For 27 years, Randy served as the executive manager for the Good Samaritan in Estes Park.


Ella Fahrlander, MBA*

Ella leads our events and communications team and carries out fund-development efforts focusing on our region's nonprofit sector. She also provides leadership for our role of Regional Champion for Colorado Gives and supports Foundation initiatives and projects that enhance community engagement. Ella grew up in Crested Butte, Colo., and previously worked at the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs.

Roxanne Fry, MBA

Roxanne leads the Foundation’s donor services department, overseeing grantmaking, scholarships, and special project funds. Roxanne received her bachelor’s degree from Winona State (Minn.) University and holds an MBA from CSU.  She was vice president of both the Fort Collins and Greeley/Weld chambers of commerce. Roxanne and her family have been Windsor residents for over 20 years.

Lizzie Gauriloff

Lizzie manages our office, provides administrative support, oversees the internship program, and offers hospitality to all. She graduated from Gannon University with a bachelor of arts in English and a minor in advertising and communications.  She’s been involved in nonprofit missions for most of her life. Coming from the East Coast, she’s been enjoying getting outdoors and discovering Colorado.

Mandy Hoffman

Mandy provides executive administrative support to the President and Vice President for Community Engagement while creating lasting relationships with the community.  A native of Fort Collins and a graduate of CSU, she previously worked at the Matthews House providing direct case management to families as well as directing programs. Mandy loves music and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and dogs.

Jerrie Lyndon-Sylvia, MS

Jerrie oversees the Foundation’s visual presentation, manages the website, and coordinates multimedia needs. She holds a master’s of science in arts and nonprofit administration from Boston University and has worked in nonprofit marketing since 2009, including for Cambridge Arts Council and Boston Children’s Hospital. Jerrie lived in Argentina, Russia, and Boston, before settling in Northern Colorado with her family.


Carrie Miller
Donor Services Coordinator

Carrie processes approximately 1,000 grants each year, supports the Foundation’s scholarship program, helps fund advisors gain access to their charitable funds, and serves as a customer service contact for current and potential donors. Carrie is a Colorado native from Windsor. She worked at the National Association for Interpretation for ten years before joining the Foundation.


Rob Panos, MPP *
Donor Services Manager

Rob builds meaningful relationships with current donors, provides staff leadership to community fund committees, oversees our scholarship program, and ensures that donors enjoy an easy and strategic approach to charitable giving. Rob holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in public policy from the University of Virginia. He lives in Fort Collins and enjoys exploring the outdoors with his wife and son.


Katie Romberg, CPA

Katie oversees the daily accounting functions. She ensures that the Foundation meets its financial obligations in a timely manner and that it complies with generally accepted accounting principles and meets audit standards. Katie graduated from Colorado Christian University and holds an active CPA license.

Student interns are a tremendous asset to our organization in the areas of donor services, marketing, graphic design, and project management. Interns become familiar with key community leaders and interact with them by phone, email, and in person.

Nicholas AmRhein
September 2018 - Present
Originally from Phoenix, Nicholas graduated from Rocky Mountain High School and studies business at CSU, with concentration in finance and computer information systems. His future aspirations include joining a wealth management or investment banking firm after graduation, and eventually starting his own company. Nicholas is a member of the Finance Club at CSU.


Lynsie Roper

Lynsie is a Colorado native majoring in corporate and investment finance and minoring in interdisciplinary leadership at CSU, class of 2018. In addition, Lynsie is a member of the CSU President’s Leadership Program. She hopes to start a nonprofit to help families and individuals have better access to healthy and affordable food.

Madi Tatum
August 2018 - Present

Madi is a senior at Colorado State University studying economics, with two minors in philosophy and political communication. She grew up in Kansas, and has lived in Colorado for the past eight years. After her graduation in May 2019, she hopes to pursue community building through nonprofit work, with a focus on policy action and local agriculture.
